When I was a little girl, growing up in New York City, there was a store that sold crumpets, and my mother would buy a package, and put one crumpet in the toaster and slather the toasted crumpet with butter. I’ll never forget those days for the rest of my life!

Being a Brit in America for the last 20 years, suffice to say these didn't last long. The only downside was that they had picked up a little bit of aroma from the bacon and bangers in the same package. Other than that, they were a lovely reminder of home.
