Highland Cow Ceramic Butter Dish

Store your butter in this elegant and sleek deep-blue ceramic butter bowl topped with an intricately engraved wooden lid depicting a highland cow. I loved this butter dish when I first received it but in a month or so, the top would nit make an airtight seal. I have washed the top and the plastic seals and tried putting them on opposite to the way it came but the top rises up no matter what I do. I only use Irish butter in the crock.

This item is made in China. The only UK part is that the Highland cow is etched into the lid there. As for the service, I contacted Scottish Gourmet before purchasing and was told this product is made in the UK. After discovering the truth and bringing it to their attention, the company refuses to admit they made a mistake and refund my shipping. Very bad way to do business and extremely disappointing.

Very nice butter dish, especially with the Coo's Cow on top. However, the length of it is a bit short for our butter. Might have to improvise, but still like this butter dish.

This dish is beautiful! The lid not only looks nice, but has a silicone seal around it. For the 1st time ever, I've left the butter (unsalted) on the counter & it has worked out. So convenient. I will buy one for my mother.
