Hamlyns Scottish Oatmeal is a fine stone-ground cereal perfect for morning porridge and a versatile baking ingredient. Naturally wheat-free, low in salt and sugar while high in fiber. Boil these oats in water and milk for a creamy traditional porridge in 4 minutes. One kilogram (2.2 lbs.) of delicious oats. Now in a recyclable paper bag. Please store in an airtight bag once opened. We have added a plastic bag and twist tie for storage.

Simply as good a bowl of oatmeal as you are ever going to eat. This is totally different than our American rolled oats oatmeal. It is the smoothest texture and excellent flavor, I add some butter and dark brown sugar. Definitely try is you have never had authentic Scottish oatmeal

Growing up, my wonderful Scottish grandmother lived with us and handled all the cooking chores. This oatmeal takes me back to the porridge she served. It is wonderful!

I love this oatmeal. If you use a whisk when putting it in boiling water it helps to make is smooth and not clumpy. It can be savory or a sweet. I put in MCT oil. Walnuts, hemp/flax seeds and dried cherries.

Delicious! Especially when made with milk - it gives it more of a creamy taste. The oatmeal is more like Hominy Grits, in terms of texture.
