Dean's Butterscotch Shortbread Rounds

I love butterscotch and these cookies are delicious

I really really loved these scrumptious cookies!
The only problem I encountered were not because of the company, but because of the postal system/shipping department... they arrived all broken.
That made me sad, because half of my order was a gift. But the butterscotch were for me, so I don't mind eating 'the chunks'. VERY TASTY!

Nice butterscotch flavor although the butterscotch bits were hard. Texture more like oatmeal cookies than shortbread. OK when dunked in tea. Won't order again.

You can repeat this review for all of Dean's shortbreads. I found them to be lightly baked which, in this case, works in their favor. Whether you have a toaster oven or a regular toaster, I highly recommend heating these delightful treats to release the butter and full flavor (cold just didn't provide the impact butterscotch should). We set one across each slot of the toaster and put it down on a light setting, just enough to warm and slightly brown it (once can be enough or flip and repeat to your taste). The butterscotch becomes just a little chewy and really melts into the biscuit. You'll be wishing the box was bigger.
