Storage & Shelf Life

  • Unopened shelf life:  Check best-before printed on tin base
  • Storage (unopened): Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. No refrigeration required while sealed.
  • After opening: Transfer any uneaten cake to an airtight container. Best consumed within 5–7 days of opening.
  • Tin condition: The decorative tin may show minor cosmetic variation in finish — this does not affect the product inside.

Note: Always check the best-before date printed on the tin. If the seal is broken or the tin is significantly dented, do not consume.

This cake reminded me of my great grandmother’s recipe from Dundee! Moist and full of raisins and other goodies. I’ve never had almonds in it but they were delicious.

I’m addicted to this- delicious!! This brings back such wonderful memories of our trip to Scotland and I can’t find this anywhere here in USA except Scottish Gourmet!

Far smaller than expected, and far smaller than the Dundee Cakes we had growing up in England. That was a bit of a shock!
