Christmas Marmalade from Galloway Lodge

Galloway Lodge Preserves cooks each small batch of their fine marmalades very slowly over an open flame to allow the fruits to caramelize with the sugar for a rich home-made taste. This Christmas Marmalade is made with mandarin orange, ginger and cane sugar. Some say marmalade was created by her French chefs to cure Mary Queen of Scots' cold (Marie's Malade), while those from Dundee claim their ancestors made it when a Spanish galleon sunk offshore spilling its cargo of Seville oranges on the beach. Whoever made this lovely breakfast treat should be commended! Mimi Sheraton names it one of the 1000 foods to eat before you die. 8.1 oz. round jar.

I had this same product last year and loved it. Wanted to order it again. This time it is very watery, actually pourable. Not marmalade consistency at all. The flavor is fine but the texture is way off.

Real Marmalade with bits of real orange peel and it's Christmas, say no more, except I would eat it in July !

I buy this every year in multiple quantities; it's that good! This year it seems a little thinner than past years but the flavor is still there. I will continue to buy this.
