A delicate blend of fine teas from Africa and Assam complemented by Scottish heather blossoms in a giftable tin from Edinburgh Tea & Coffee. The 4.4 oz of loose tea is sealed in a flavor saving pouch until you (or the lucky recipient) is ready to savor a cup of tea. The heather gives the tea a pleasant aroma that is totally Scottish! This loose tea is fine cut for robust flavor. For the best cuppa, we recommend using a fine mesh or laser cut tea strainer.

I rather love this Heather Tea…it’s as I expected, a Scottish breakfast blend with heather. I am a bit of a tea snob, and I do recommend this lovely tea for anytime if day really that you need a pick me up.

The tin has 4.5% Heather Blossom. The boxed version has 2% Natural Heather Flavouring, and 1% Heather Blossom. If you add sugar or honey to your tea, that might not matter to you. The heather tea in this tin has wonderful sweet tasting heather blossoms. I thought the second tin ordered had only a small amount of the flowers, but as I got to the bottom of the tin, found a very large amount of them. I suggest stirring the loose dry tea a bit if you run into a similar situation.

Unfortunately my second tin of this tea has very few heather blossoms. Still good tea, but not as sweet. I recommend the Whisky Tea Caddy - Loose Tea
