These placemats (and napkins) were part of a large order in anticipation of a festive party in my new house. The colors are clear and beautiful, with a touch of gold. The placemats are just large enough to hold my chargers (Vietri, red, 13 inches). I am very pleased. I would also add that my order was VERY carefully packaged; everything arrived in perfect condition - from napkins (no wrinkles) to ornaments.
