Many consider their Scottish breakfast to be incomplete without a square Lorne sausage patty. Four slices in the 13 oz. package. A perfect accompaniment with fried eggs, these Scottish-style all-beef square-ish patties also go nicely on a morning roll, and they serve as a sort of foundation for other add-ons like tattie scones, or grilled onions on your roll. Lorne sausage is a uniquely Scottish configuration. Ours is made in the US. Lorne sausage is a raw meat product that we store and ship frozen. As with other similar products, the meat can get slightly darker after it thaws and is exposed to oxygen. We recommend you consume your Lorne sausage within 3 or 4 days of letting the package thaw.

Cook to internal temperature of 165 degrees.

I have never had this sausage before, so I don't know if it authentic. I just know that I started thinking it tasted weird and then grew to really like it. It is not fatty like a lot of other breakfast sausage and has a subtle taste
